Wolf Haldenstein is pleased to announce that Firm Partner Regina Calcaterra was the recipient of the Champion of Civil Rights & Social Justice Award from City & State New York. At the annual Corporate Social Responsibility Awards for Diversity & Inclusion event, City & State New York celebrates individuals and organizations that actively promote inclusive excellence through their corporate culture and strategy, recruitment and retention practices, and supplier diversity metrics.
With the encouragement of Wolf Haldenstein, Ms. Calcaterra has diligently worked to expand the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion efforts, both internally and externally. For example, in cooperation with Soledad O’Brien’s and Brad Raymond’s PowHERful Foundation and the Hunter College Pre-Law Program, Wolf Haldenstein developed a Pre-Law Diversity Internship program, a paid summer experience for diverse college students or recent graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in law. She is also part of the team that mentors and networks with diverse pre-law college students through the NYC Bar Association and represents Wolf Haldenstein on Hunter College’s Pre-Law Advisory Committee.
Ms. Calcaterra is a partner at Wolf Haldenstein, where she is a member of the Firm’s Investor Protection and Social Justice practice groups. Ms. Calcaterra specializes in complex actions representing institutional investors who suffered losses due to corporate fraud, governmental and labor entities that are adversely affected by the opioid epidemic and victims of federal civil rights violations, including minority business owners.
