Wolf Haldenstein Files Collective Action Lawsuit Against Covelli Enterprises For Unpaid Overtime Wages

Wolf Haldenstein, on behalf of Erin E. Kis, has filed a collective action lawsuit against Covelli Enterprises, Inc. (“Covelli”), the largest franchisee of Panera Bread Bakery-Cafes.  The plaintiffs allege that Covelli misclassified Assistant Managers as exempt employees, and failed to pay them overtime pay.  Read the complaint here.

A substantially similar case was filed, on behalf of Chelsea Romano, by Outten Golden LLP and Shavitz Law Group, P.A.  The cases were filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and have been consolidated into a single collective action on behalf of all Assistant Managers who worked at a Panera Bread Bakery-Cafe owned by Covelli at any time from February 22, 2015 to August 15, 2018.

More than 300 other Assistant Managers have joined the case.  If you would like to be included, you must complete and submit a Consent to Join Form on or before October 15, 2018.  The Consent to Join Form can be found at https://www.paneracovelliovertime.com/.
