Charles H. Baller is a partner of the firm. A corporate and tax attorney, he has extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions, complex estate planning, particularly relating to corporate and business holdings, and matters relating to United States taxation of international transactions, and employee benefits and compensation, including ERISA.
Mr. Baller, a lecturer and author for the Practicing Law Institute, was co-editor of the reference work Business Acquisitions: Planning and Practice.
He is rated AV, the highest rating possible from Martindale-Hubbell®, the country's foremost legal directory.
He was admitted to the bar in 1958 and worked in the office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service (Interpretative Division).
Mr. Baller is a magna cum laude graduate of New York University, where he was elected to the honorary fraternities Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Alpha Si, and of Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He received a Master of Laws degree in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
