Scott J. Farrell is an associate of the firm. His practice primarily consists of securities, ERISA, consumer protection and antitrust class action litigation.
Some noteworthy cases in which he is currently involved include: In re Aon ERISA Litigation; Schoenbaum v. E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co.; In re Morgan Stanley Technology Fund Securities Litigation and In re Morgan Stanley Information Fund Securities Litigation.
Mr. Farrell also played a prominent role in obtaining the following class recoveries: In re Iridium Securities Litigation (over $43 million settlement); In re E.W. Blanch Holdings, Inc. Securities Litigation ($20 million settlement); City Partnership Co. v. Jones Intercable, Inc. ($10.5 million settlement) and In re Tower Automotive ERISA Litigation ($5.7 million settlement).
Mr. Farrell co-authored the articles “Taming the Metadata Beast,” New York Law Journal, May 16, 2008, and “In re Gary Glass and Zoltan Guttman,” Futures & Derivatives Law Report, July/August, 1998. He is also a featured faculty member on Lawline.com, an accredited CLE provider, where he is a co-presenter of "Technology and Your Practice: Electronic Discovery, Other ESI Issues, and Reflections on 2009 Developments". He is a member of The Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production.

Mo., Nov. 6, 2007); In re Aon ERISA Litigation, No 04 C 6875, 2007 WL 495306 (N.D. Ill. Feb. 14, 2007); In re Aon ERISA Litigation, No 04 C 6875, 2006 WL 3490435 (N.D. Ill. Nov. 29, 2006); Freeland v. Iridium World Communications, Ltd., 233 F.R.D. 40 (D.D.C. 2006); and Birnberg v. Milk Street Residential Associates Limited Partnership, Nos. 02 C 0978, 02 C 3436, 2003 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 806 (N.D. Ill. Jan. 17, 2003).
He is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the Districts of New Jersey and Colorado.
Mr. Farrell graduated magna cum laude from Yeshiva University (B.A., Psychology, 1996) where he was a Gruss Scholar and was awarded a Max Stern Scholarship, the school’s highest honor afforded incoming students. He graduated from New York University School of Law (J.D. 1999), where he was an Articles and Notes Editor of the Journal of Legislation and Public Policy.
